Youth Group

This year we have enjoyed various activities and events, which have often been made more enjoyable with the involvement of members from the wider Church.  These have included a Murder Mystery night, when we 20 or so of us met (in appropriate attire) to solve the serious crime that had been committed!  Also the Jubilee Picnic when Youth Club organised the entertainment, games and competitions – given last Summer’s terrible weather we incredibly lucky with the sunny afternoon.

Members developed their cooking and serving skills at the Harvest Lunch and the fellowship was enjoyed by all who attended.

The lead up to Christmas is always busy in the life of the Church and once again we packed over 50 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  It has become a tradition for Youth Club to do this and we are always amazed at the generosity of everyone in the Congregation.  Members also played a big part in the Christmas Eve service which told the story of Christmas through the eyes of tree decorations – an angel, chocolate reindeer and Santa.

In order to ensure that what we do is enjoyed by everybody who joins us the group are now looking at future activities and events.    Ideally we would like more members.  Youth Club is open to Young People in Year 5 and above – so come along!!
