Churches Together in Dewsbury 19.9.14
The main topics discussed were as follows:
Pastor Marcus Bennett from Elim Church will arrange a meeting with Youth Leaders from CTiD churches in the near future.
Dewsbury on Sea: It was a good day; the puppet shows from Ebenezer were very good. It was noted that only 4 of the CTiD churches were represented.
Women’s Health Group: Any financial help which can be offered to the group from individual churches will be very helpful. The group helps a large number of women, and because funding has been withdrawn, the group is struggling to survive.
A DVD is available from billygraham.org.uk. Initially it was thought that a united CTiD could show the DVD, but it was decided churches could show it to their own congregation or to groups of neighbours. The Gospel Church is to show it to celebrate Billy Graham’s birthday on November 7th.
Branch FM: It takes £1500 a month to keep the radio station going. Partners who can pledge £10 per month in the Partnership Scheme are being sought. Branch FM staff have a bric-a-brac stall on the market to raise much needed money, so any bric-a- brac that can be given would be welcomed. Branch FM will be broadcasting live in front of Longcauseway Church on 8th November, the 7th anniversary.
CARE Dewsbury and Trinity CARE: Numbers are increasing. PLEASE DO NOT BRING DRIED PASTA FOR THE HARVEST. The Minster has a great deal of pasta and sauce, anyone who can use it to raise money for the Minster or the CARE projects can have some.
CTiD AGM is on Wednesday 15th October 2014 at 7.30pm at the Revival Centre (St Mark’s, Halifax Rd). This is open to everyone.
If anyone would like to read the full minutes when available, please see me.
