I love to sing the harvest hymn: "We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the ground."

This is the season of thanksgiving for a harvest. When you look around and see the leaves changing colour and you see the beautiful turning of the year, thank God for harvest time. Give praise to our creator. Let's take a moment to pause from our hectic lives and wonder at the seasons and how the earth, tilted ever so slightly on its axis as it plunges through space around our life giving star; the sun, produces our changing year. Let us give thanks to God for our harvest time.

Ecclesiastes 3 : 1 says

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."

So this is the time to reflect on what has happened in our lives so far this year and to assess what we will do next. Is it time to search for the meaning in our lives and could a church near you point you in the right direction?

Why not take this harvest time to visit a church near you and enjoy thanking God for his bounteous gifts?
