Weekly reflection

25th June 2017

In November, I suggested reflecting on an autumn tree.
Now we’re in the height of summer, perhaps we can use a tree again, as a focus for our reflection.

You might like to draw a summer tree.
Or go outside and sit near a particular tree.
Let the tree symbolise you; for each part of the tree reflect on the following questions:
The roots: who and what has given you nourishment and vitality in your life? Who and what roots you in your times of significant change?
The trunk: what are your strengths? What events have channelled new life into you?
The leaves: what is growing in your life just now?
The bark: who or what protects you, comforts you?
The flowers: what is it that gives you hope of new life to come?
